Loose Flange

The method to use loose flange is to fix the flange into the pipe side by means of stub end and steel ring. It can move around the pipe side. Steel ring and stub end work as the sealing face, while flange is to compress them tightly. Loose flange would not touch the media because they are insulated by the steel ring or flanging. Loose flange is used in the connection of some vessels those materials are steel, aluminum or stainless acid-resistant, as well as in the corrosive-resistant pipeline. Since loose flange is movable, it is usually used in the connection of pipeline that requires be installing or removing conveniently.
